OSK Design is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Årets Regionale Temapris 2024 (Regional Theme of the Year Award) at the Owner-Manager of the Year Award hosted by PwC in Aarhus on Wednesday 6th November. Jacob H. Thygesen, CEO at OSK Design and Anders Ørgård, CCO at OSK Design, were honoured with the award in recognition of the company’s outstanding achievements in digital transformation within the maritime industry.
A celebration of digital innovation and leadership
The Theme of the Year Award is awarded annually to a business leader who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of digital transformation. This year’s focus was on advancements in IT systems, the integration of artificial intelligence, and the development of digital business models. OSK Design stood out for its innovative use of Virtual Reality (VR) tools and data-driven solutions to revolutionise ship design and operations.
Jacob H. Thygesen and Anders Ørgård attribute the win to the dedication, creativity, and hard work of the entire OSK Design team.
“I am truly honoured to be recognised for our work at OSK Design and immensely proud of the journey we've been on together,” says Jacob H. Thygesen, CEO at OSK Design. “In this case, however, I want to highlight the incredible efforts of our VR and Sales teams, who deserve this recognition as much as anyone. They saw the potential early on and committed to transforming what started as a sales gimmick into a vital tool in our design development process. Their dedication has brought our vision to life in ways we could have only imagined. Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen!”
Embracing technology for a greener future
OSK Design’s success lies not only in its cutting-edge technology but in how it applies these tools to create tangible value for clients and the maritime industry. Through the integration of VR, AI, and data analytics, the company has optimised everything from vessel routes to interior layouts. This approach allows clients to experience ship designs in immersive environments long before construction begins, while also optimising operations, reducing costs, and shortening meeting times. Virtual design reviews and real-time collaboration have significantly reduced the need for travel, leading to lower carbon footprints and more efficient project timelines. This not only contributes to a more sustainable future for the maritime industry but also supports the industry's broader sustainability goals.
Transforming customer engagement
OSK Design’s digital solutions have also redefined customer engagement. Clients now can interact with designs in ways that were previously impossible, fostering deeper collaboration and ensuring their visions are fully realised. Through real-time data sharing and immersive experiences, OSK Design has set a new standard in how businesses can engage with clients in a more meaningful and impactful way.
